HOW DO I ORDER?
You can browse our products, place and pay for your order online. You can also give us a call to place your order on 01539 736300.
IS THERE A MINIMUM ORDER?
There’s no minimum order value, we welcome orders of all sizes.
WHEN DO I NEED TO PLACE MY ORDER?
You can place an order at any time, please allow 24 to 48 hours after ordering for collection. Orders received on a Saturday and Sunday will be processed on a Monday. Collection is available between 11.30am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday.
DO YOU DELIVER?
We don’t have a delivery service. All orders are by click and collect.
WHERE DO I COLLECT MY ORDER?
Please come to the farm shop to collect your order. Plumgarths Farm Shop, Plumgarths Lakeland Food Park, Crook Road, Kendal, Cumbria, LA8 8QJ
WHAT SHELF LIFE DO PRODUCTS ARRIVE WITH?
Each product is individually labelled with a use-by date. Please refer to individual pack labels for details. We don’t gas flush our meats and they are all sold with a view to our customers freezing on the day of purchase or eating within a day or two to enjoy their freshness and tastiness.
CAN I FREEZE YOUR MEAT?
Yes. If you freeze your meat on the day of purchase, the use-by date is no longer relevant. We recommend freezing our bacon and sausage for a maximum of 3 months and our fresh meat for no longer than 6 months to ensure the best flavour.
IS PAYING ONLINE SAFE?
Yes. We take your data security really seriously. You’ll see our padlock symbol at the top of the screen, which means any information sent between your browser and our website is sent securely, and can’t be intercepted or read by someone else while the information is in transit. We also work with Retail Merchant Services to ensure our payment system is safe and secure. We do not retain your payment information and only record personal information that’s relevant to the processing of your order.
CAN I ADD TO MY ORDER?
You can’t add to your order online once it has been placed. But you can call us on 01539 736300 and we can add any items to your order 1-2 days before your chosen collection date.
We don’t keep your card when you pay online so you’ll need to pay for any items you are adding over the phone.
WHAT’S YOUR RETURNS POLICY?
We work really hard to make sure you are happy with every purchase from our family-run farm shop and we rarely have any issues with the quality of our produce. We do, however, have a returns policy for your peace of mind when shopping. You can choose an exchange or a refund. As our items are perishable, returns need to be:
- within 24 hours of collection (or purchase if in-store rather than online)
- in the original packaging
- with the purchase receipt
HOW LONG DO REFUNDS TAKE?
We will approve the refund at the time you return your purchase to the farm shop. Depending on the payment method you used to purchase the item, it can take up to 5 days for your bank to put the money in your account.
